ABOUT THE ARTIST: The paintings of John Patrick celebrate our passion for the automobile, they take us back to moments in our lives, memories of emotions come flooding back. The images are not only of a certain vehicle but also of a specific place and time. Each of us encounter these moments hundreds of times each day and pass them by, John doesn't. His recordings of these moments capture the sunlight, reflections and mood, illustrating a moment that each of us live each day of our lives. John is a three-time Rocky Mountain Emmy Award winning artist from Phoenix, Arizona. Raised in Colorado, John studied under artist-architect Wayne Huey while attending college in Nebraska. John also studied screen printing and large pin and ink drawing while in college, sketching and painting throughout the western states. During his commercial career, John has been an Art Director, Illustrator, Logo and Set Designer. In addition to his Emmy Awards, he has won both an Addy Award and a United Press International Award for his work, John has also been a guest speaker for the Scottsdale Center for Contemporary Arts. John's work is currently being shown in galleries in Scottsdale and Carefree, Arizona, Puerto Pinesco, Mexico, Palm Springs, California and Franklin, Tennessee.
